Aimee K Roundtree

Aimee Kendall Roundtree is a Professor of Technical Communication in the Department of English at Texas State University. Her research expertise includes STEM and medical communication, user experience and human factors, web accessibility, and digital media. Her book, Computer Simulation, Rhetoric and the Scientific Imagination, examines invention and argumentation in scientific simulations. She has published articles in theJournal of Technical Writing and Communication, the American Communication Journal and POROI. She has helped manage social media content for the Association of Teachers of Technical Writing and the Association for the Rhetoric of Science, Technology, and Medicine. She has also served as a usability and qualitative researcher in the Texas Medical Center, as well as communications specialist for the Texas Medical Foundation and Air Combat Command at Langley AFB. She currently serves as the Associate Dean of Research and Promotion for the College of Liberal Arts at Texas State University and the Associate Editor of Book Reviews for IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication.
