Kristinn Andersen is a Professor and presently the Head of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Iceland, where he teaches a variety of courses at all student levels. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Iceland and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Vanderbilt University. Most of his career as an engineer he worked in industry, joining the University in 2014. In addition to robotics and intelligent systems, his teaching and research interests include communications and collaboration between industry and academia, and utilizing technology and novel approaches to communications and teaching.
